Teaching steps:
Ⅰ.Pre-task preparation
1.Review
Show the timetable and ask “What subject do you like?”Ask the pupils to answer the question, then the teacher says“I like Art.”Write the topic“Art” on the blackboard.
2.Lead in
①Tomorrow is Sunday. I am going to an art museum.
②Encourage the pupils use “be going to” to make sentences.
Ⅱ.While-task
①listen to the tape on Page22.
②Read the dialogue and answer “What do we need for drawing pictures ?”Then learn the new words “brush (brushes)、paint、 oil painting、 Chinese ink painting.”
③Look at the pictures ,help them understand “oil painting (colour—colourful)and Chinese ink painting(black and white)(powerful)”.
④Listen and do .
The teacher says like this “Show me your left/right hand, Put up your left/right hand. ”Help them understand “left and right.”
