Step 1: Warm-up

Greetings.

Hello,boys and girls.I’m your new English teacher today.I’m Lucy.I hope we can have a wonderful and interesting English learning trip.Now let’s have a chant about “weather”.

Sunny,cloudy,windy,rainy.It’s hot today.

Sunny,cloudy,windy,rainy.It’s cold tonight.(Say and do.)

(设计意图:通过简短的自我介绍拉近与孩子们的距离;并通过带领孩子们朗读有关天气的韵律诗,初步感知有关天气的词汇;并辅以相应的动作,可让孩子们放松课前的紧张心情,为后面的轻松入课做好铺垫。)

Step2:Leading in

Today we’ll learn Module 2 Unit 2 It will snow in Harbin.(板书)Now I’ll devide you into 2 groups .Rain team and Snow team.Let’s have a competition.Let’s which team can get more smiling faces.(设计意图:紧扣课文核心词汇分组,加深天气单词印象,并为文末情感教育埋下伏笔。)Now task is coming.Activity 1,Listen and chant.Before the listening,here are 3 questions for you.

Q1,How many cities in the chant?

Q2,Which cities are they?

Q3,What is very important ,before you visit these cities?

Then watch the flash about Activity1.Then let students think and answer the questions.(设计意图:通过学生对韵律诗的感知,由三问一步一步由城市词汇,引导出本文的中心词汇weather)

Step3:Learn the words.

Now let’s look at the signs and say out the words about weather.---cold﹨hot﹨warm﹨cloudy(设计意图:通过天气标志学习天气词汇,让学生印象深刻)Then let’s listen what sound can you hear.---rain﹨sunny﹨windy﹨snow(设计意图:先通过声音感知,再出示天气标志以及词汇,让学生感觉更有吸引力)Then read these words 2times with raising tune and falling tune.At last guess the words according to teacher’s sounds.(设计意图:运用单词的操练活动,让学生进一步掌握天气单词。)

Step4:Learn the text.

Watch the flash about Activity 2.

Show a map of China on the screen,and ask question:”Which cities can you see?”Let students say out the cities which are on the map.Then let’s look at the weather tomorrow.And watch the flash first time.Then teacher play the talking pen ,let students listen again and underline the key words about weather.(设计意图:学生先观看flash动画,初步感知课文,再回到课本,听课文,勾画天气单词,对天气单词的拼写再一次加深印象。)

Find the weather of 4 cities.

Show a picture of Chinese map,and ask students :“What will the weather be like in Harbin﹨Beijing﹨Xi’an﹨Sanya?”

And lead out :”It will snow in Harbin.”

“It will rain in Beijing.”

“It will be cold and windy in Xi’an.”

“It will be warm and sunny in Sanya.”(板书)

(设计意图:通过学生回答问题,引导出本文的核心句型“It will...”“It will be...”,通过教师教读,学生跟读, 促进句型的掌握。)

Practise the key sentences.

Let students find the difference between “It will ...”and”It will be...”

Explain the usage of “will”:用will描述或预测未来的天气。
