Teaching key points and difficulties:

Understand the story, include the sentences.

Act the story.

Teaching aids: CAI ,Tape , guitar, knife and fork, headdress.

Teaching steps:

StepI. Warm up.

Greeting .

Lead in . Set a situation: let Ss Show a basket, let Ss guess. “What’s in the basket?” Show the guitar. Asks: Can you play the guitar? Can you teach me/ him/ her?

Look at the screen, guess again :What’s in the basket? A lovely pig.

Let Ss listen . The lovely pig can play the guitar very well.

Today we’ll learn a story about this lovely pig.

What do you want to know about the story?

StepII. Presentation and practice.

Task 1 : Listen and answer.

Listen to the story then answer the questions.

Q1: How many animals are there in the story?

Q2:Who are they?

Q3:Where do they live?

After the listen to the story, let them anwer.

Task 2: Listen and mime.

On Sunday . The pig is playing the guitar. A wolf is coming .It says: “What a lovely fat pig!”Let Ss mime it.

Look at the four pictures ,find out “What does the wolf want to do?”

How do they feel about that? Let Ss mime in roles.

Can the wolf play the guitar? From where you know it ? Elicit: That’s much better.

Task 3: Read and act.

Read the story from P8 to P18 by yourselves. Find out “What does the wolf really want to do ?”

After they read it, have a check.

Q1: The next Sunday, who is coming?
