Step1 Lead in

1. Watch a video about the song Seasons In The Sun, and try to write down at least one sentence of the lyrics about the song. After enjoying the video, choose some students to share their writings with the whole class.

设计意图:用视频导入,可以让学生更快集中精神上课,同时可以激发学生的好奇心和兴趣。

2. The teacher shows some sentences about the song on the PPT, and ask students to say out what tense do these sentences use. Then lead in the new lesson.

We had joy we had fun

We had seasons in the sun.

You gave me love and helped me find the sun

And every time I was down

You would always come around

设计意图:让学生带着任务看视频,进行自主学习,并进行成果分享。

Step 2 New Lesson

Task 1 定义

1. Ask students to say out what tense these sentences use. The teacher guides the students to say out the definition of the past simple tense according to these sentences on the PPT. Learn and master the definition of the past simple tense.

定义:表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,也表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。

Task 2 时间状语

1. Let students conclude how to decide a sentence should use the past simple tense according to the following sentences:

1). My sister got up at 6:30 yesterday.

2). I was at home yesterday afternoon.

3). He always went to work by bus last year.

4). My little sister cried just now.

设计意图:让学生通过观察句子,来归纳出过去时间状语可以用来判断句子是否使用一般过去时并学习表示过去的时间状语。

2. Let students make a brainstorm about the time about past.

yesterday; in 1995; just now; last week; before 1959; the day before yesterday; two days ago; this morning; last night …

设计意图:让学生进行头脑风暴,回忆小学时学习一般过去时的知识,激发学生的积极性和活跃课堂气氛。

Task 3 动词过去式变化规律

Let students do some exercise, and check the answers, then ask them to summarize the rules how the verbs change into the past forms.

①一般在动词原形末尾加-ed;

用所给词的适当形式填空:

1).Lucy _________(climb) hills last month.

2).Tom ___________(perform) magic tricks just now.
