激发学生学习英语的兴趣，使学生树立学习英语的自信心。
【重点、难点】
1、能在情境中理解friend一词的意义。
2、能理解 “Goodbye.”这一交际用语的含义并知道如何在生活中运用。
3、能根据性别的不同，用He’s/She’s…来介绍自己的朋友。
4、能理解对话内容，用正确的语音语调朗读和表演对话。
【设计理念】
新课标中明确提出要充分发挥学生的主体性，注重对学生的能力的培养，尤其是学生自主学习的能力的培养，使学生对知识掌握的过程由“学会”转变为“会学”。根据这一原则，我在本课教学中做了一些安排，采用“任务型”教学模式，让他们积极参与实践，学习和使用英语，完成学习任务，提高综合语言运用能力。
【设计思路】
本单元的教学内容贴近学生的生活，教学的主题是学生感兴趣的话题。教师将设置一些有层次的活动，使得每一位学生都有参与课堂学习、思考和表达的机会。本节课通过创设Happy Valley的情境，引导学生积极地参与各个活动： Game Plate（游戏跳板），Cartoon Stage（卡通展览），Happy Balloon（欢乐气球），Show Island（我型我秀），Music Boat（音乐摇篮），在各个活动中学生学习了Story time版块的学习，学会了从哪些方面介绍自己的朋友，最后将自己朋友的信息卡展示在班级朋友卡的展示栏中，学生的语言运用能力在潜移默化中得到了提高。
【教学过程】
Step 1 Warming up
1 Play a game: Magic eyes
Show the rules and guide the students review the sentences and persons in the game.
Show the persons appeared in the game on the screen .
T: Look, maybe they’re friends. I also have some friends in our class. They help me a lot. For example, Angel and Lucas are my friends.
Teach the word: friend
（设计意图：在课的一开始，通过游戏导入主题，学生的注意力快速地集中，并且跟着老师设计的思路进入本节课的主题My friends。）
2 Show the title
Guide the students to read the title “Unit3 My friends”
T: Today Bobby and his friends are in the Happy Valley. There are many interesting places in the Happy Valley. They are Happy Balloon, Game plate, Cartoon Stage, Music Boat and Show Island. Would you like to join them?
Ss: Yes.
T: We will have fun there.
