Step1. Warming-up

1. Enjoy a song.(PPT)

2. Greetings.

3. Play a game: What’s in my nice bag?

The game goes like this: The teacher holds a nice bag in one hand and asks the students to guess “What’s in the nice bag?” Chinese is OK when they try to guess. By showing the pictures of the clothes and the pictures of Yang Ling and Yang Ling’s Mum, the new words are presented. The new sentences “Look at me!” & “It’s nice.” are also naturally presented here.

[Purpose] Our students are active and curious. They will be eager to guessing the things in the bag. This guessing game will motivate them a lot. Moreover, it prepares well for learning the dialogue.

Step2. Lead-in

1. Show the nice clothes and learn the new sentence pattern: Look at my…

[Purpose] By showing some nice clothes, the teacher teaches the new sentence pattern “Look at my ...”. Then, ask some students to show their nice clothes they’re wearing, the new sentence pattern is consolidated.
