Step1 Warm up

1.T: Hello, class. Where did you go for the holiday?

S;I went to…

T: How was your holiday?

S: It was…

T: What did you do there?

S: ….

Purpose: Try to review the sentences we have learned last class

Step 2 Lead in and presentation

Retell the story time according to the key words or pictures

Purpose: Teach the Ss some ways to retell or recite the story time

1. Sound time

T: Mike was on a farm for his National Day holiday . And he wanted us to do something for him .

(1) Listen and imitate

(2) A little teacher

(3)Try to read some new rhymes

Purpose: Pay attention to the falling tone

2. Culture time

1.T: Oh dear. Your holiday is very good, Mike’s holiday is good ,too .We know that Mike comes from the UK. Do you know the main school holidays in the UK? How many ? What are they ? Let’s listen and answer . (播放录音)

S: OK.

T: Well, Do you know them? 请学生一一介绍,并带读The summer holiday , the Easter holiday , the Christmas

S: Read the New words.

2.T: Would you like say something about them?(请学生讨论)

S: 可以小组讨论每个节日的文化背景知识。

询问两、三个学生后,教师出示China图片,让学生读一读并讨论中国学校的主要节日的文化背景知识。
