Teaching procedures:

Step One: Before-class

Make the students focus on the class.

Step Two: Lead-in

Ask the students to watch a short video about global warming, and then draw a conclusion: We know that global warming affects our life.

Explain the word “affect” has different meanings, by which we can come to Exercise 1on page28 naturally.

Step Three: Practicing (导学案:学生合作探究。)

Finish the Exercise 1 in the guiding case.

Step Four: Practicing(师生展示反馈,学生练习巩固。)

Finish the Exercise 2 on page 28 in text book using the expressions we have learnt in the reading passage.

Step Five: Presentation and explanation(讲练结合)

Use an example to present the Stressed Sentence Structure.

It is human activity that results in the global warming.

It is / was + 被强调部分 + that (who) + 原句剩余部分。

Explain how to use it by rewriting some sentences.

Step Six: Expanding and summary(拓展迁移)
