Step 1 Warm up

Sing a song Safety on the road

2.Play a game: guess the words according to the sentences

T: It is black and white. People walk over it when they cross the road. It begins with the letter “z” . What is it?

S: Zebra crossing .

T: Sometimes you cannot find a zebra crossing near you .To keep safe ,you can wait on it. So what is it?

S: Pavement.

T: It is a light. When you see it , you mustn’t cross the road. What is it?

S: Red man.

T: It is a light too. When you see it , you can cross the road. What is it?

S: Green man.

T: What are they about?

S: They are about road safety.

T: Today we will go on learning Unit 4 Road Safety.

3. Non-stop talking

T: How can we cross the road safely? S: We must/mustn’t/ can/can’t…

How can we cross the road safely?

Rules: 全班分两组,30秒内连续说的最多的组获胜,句子不得重复。

一组说,另一组认真听并数句子,注意有无重复。

【设计意图:利用Non-stop talking 形式复习检测学生对本单元内容的掌握程度,准备阶段人人参与,游戏阶段很好的锻炼了学生的听说能力和团队合作能力。】

T: Can they cross the road ? Are they right? What can you say to them, if you were the Policeman?
