Show a bag and ask:” What’s in the bag?” The students take out the things, and answer my question.

Step2: Presentation and Practice.

Learning words

I point to the desk and say” This is a desk.” Let them understand the meaning and then read in different ways. Teaching the words “chair” is in the same way.

I will play three games. The first game is translation. I speak English, they speak Chinese, and then change. The second game is size of sound game. I say the word out loud, they say the word in the low voice, and then change. The third one is touch game. I say “Touch the desk.” They do the actions. Which group do well, I will give them a red star.

Learning sentences

I put a book in the desk. Ask:” What’s in the desk?” Students can answer the question. Then I put the book on the desk, and ask;” What’s on the desk?” Some of the students can guess the meaning and answer the question. Then let them read the sentences in different ways.
