1. 引导陈述句用 that
I’m sure. You have seen that book before.
I’m sure(that)you have seen that book before.
2.引导一般问句用if 或者whether，意思为“是否”， whether 可以和 or not 连用，而 if 不能
Could you tell us? Will he come here?
Could you tell us if (whether) he will come here?
3.特殊疑问句变为宾语从句时，则用特殊疑问词来引导
Could you tell me? Where does he live?
Could you tell me where he lives?
无论由什么词引导，宾语从句一律用陈述句的语序。
If & whether 的区别
I don’t know _____ he will come or not.
I don’t care of ______ he is handsome.
He wondered ______ to stay here the next week.
____ he will come is not decided.
