Formula 1：if

should do,

Tip 1
1.if的倒装句。当if 省略时if分句中had, were, should提前，其他部分不变，构成倒装句。
友情提醒: If I had a big house , I would shelter all the homeless.
这里的had不能提前，因为这里的had不是助动词，因此不能提前，只有had done 里的had在省略if时需提前。
Tip 2
错综搭配，主要看时间状语。公式中分句与主句基本对称使用，但高考中常常会设陷阱：
--The whether has been very hot and dry.
--Yes. If it had rained even a drop, things ____( much better) now! And my vegetables _______(not die).
