新课标指出要培养学生参与、探究、体验、创新、合作、自主等学习方式，这就要求教师在授课过程中以学生为中心，尽量在课堂上设计丰富的活动和任务，创设情景、鼓励学生积极参与课堂活动，寓学于乐，增强趣味性。本节课根据初中学生活泼好动的特点，设计了一系列的活动，让学生积极参与，成为课堂的主人，从而提高学生的学习能力，提高英语的学习效率。

采用任务型教学途径，让学生看图句子接龙、表演、读课文、自由探讨等形式来培养学生自主、探究、合作等学习能力。五、教学重点及难点?
重点：谈论交通规则及安全，要求掌握careless, helmet, light-colored, fine几个单词，会理解几个交通标志的词no left turn,no right turn, no parking, crossing, make a wrong turn。

1. Warm-up.
Try to describe the pictures using?if” clause (use CAI to present the scene of accidents and give them the key words to make sentences to revise Section A.
e.g. get hurt /too fast have an accident/be in danger/be not able to...)
Ask a group to make sentences ,one student makes up a sentence with if.The next student says an if sentence with the first sentence’s result.

Use CAI, show them pictures of traffic rules and some traffic signs. Help them learn the signs .Ask them to know the importance of obeying traffic rules and how to be safe when riding.
