Ask Ss to look at a picture and think of the names of Spring Festival and describe their activities during Spring Festival. 利用图片激活有关“春节”的词汇和春节活动已有知识。2’Step 2T shows a picture of Grace and ask them to guess: Where is she from?

1st reading

1.:Ss read the short information quickly to check out their answers:

Where is she from?

Where is she now?

2.Ask them to look at the picture again and find : What is she doing now?

3. Then read the 1st paragraph and find:

Who is she talking with?

4.Then read the whole passage and find the main idea.

What are they mainly talking about?

A. What she did with Li Lin’s family on Chinese New Year Eve.

B. What she learned on Chinese New Year Eve.

C. What she saw on Chinese New Year Eve.

Then check answers in class.

2rd reading

Ss read the passage again and find the order of the passage.

3rd reading

1.Ss read the whole dialogue one by one and find :

??What did they do in the morning?
