Part Four: The analysis of the students(学情分析)

Features of students(学生特点): Students in Grade Three are interested in learning English. They can pay attention to their lesson and answer the questions actively. However, they are not do well in listening and speaking because of the short-time learning of English.

The analysis of the knowledge(知识分析): The topic of this unit is food and meals. This lesson is the second class of this unit. It is focused on four food (soup, rice, noodles, dumplings)and one sentence pattern( Would you like some soup? Yes, please./ No, thanks. )It aims to lead students to know and talk the table manners. Before this lesson, students have learned two verbs( eat and drink) and two sentences ( I’m thirsty/hungry. I want to drink/eat.) from the last lesson. It lays a foundation to this lesson. So this lesson is another important point of the discussion of table manners.
