3. Students can use past tense to describe photos more flexibly and have a simple dialogue.

Emotional Attitude Goal

1. Guide students to use the past tense to describe their own photos in the form of discussion, hence stimulating students’ interests in learning English and their willingness to actively express themselves in English.

2. Elect the "Star of Civilization", "Star of Harmony" and "Star of Friendliness", by allowing students to show some of their photos in daily life, so as to encourage them to do more beneficial things within their own power in daily life. Then, socialist core values are drawn forth. Although students are familiar with the socialist core values, they fail to link them with their life very well. Through the discussion on the photos, students will understand that these daily small things are actually a part of socialist core values, so we can always do them in daily life.

Ⅲ. Teaching Emphasis and Difficulty

Students can correctly and flexibly use past tense to describe and express some things in life.

Ⅳ. Teaching process:

Step1.Review and Lead-in

Review

Using cards to review the past tense of verbs.

Lead-in

T: What did you do last night?

Ss: I did …

T: I found some photos yesterday (write find-found on the blackboard). Do you want to look at the photos? (Showing photos with PPT)

Talking about these photos.

---What did ___do?

---___________ (use past tense)

T: Li Ming is getting ready to go home next week, (explain “get ready to” and give an example) He found some photos. Let’s look at photos (write the title of the text on the blackboard)

Step2: Presentation

1. Follow the tape to read the text.

2. Show the photos in the text with PPT.

3. Lead students to retell the sentences describing the three photos and practice the phrase of “teach sb. to do sth.”

Step3: Practice

Pair work

(1)Talk about the photos, and make a dialogue, then write.

(2)Students show their dialogue and sentences

Play the tap and ask students to sing along. (four times)
