Step1. Warm-up

Greetings

Sing a song “My new pen pal”

Divide groups

T: Today I will divide you into three groups. Which group performs well, I will give you a smile. Just try your best. Try to be the winner.

Step2. Presentation

Introduce new phrases.

(1) T: Boys and girls, do you have a pen pal? I have a pen pal. Who’s it? Let’s look at the picture. Oh, he is John. John is my pen pal. Today he sends a Wechat to me. Let’s listen and answer the questions. (Teacher plays the Wechat.)

(2) T: What does John do in the morning? Teacher asks one student to guess the answer and then shows the picture of “cooks Chinese food”.
