A A day at the Palace Museum

Step 1 Lead-in

T: Some exchange students are visiting Sunshine Town. What are they doing?

The exchange students have visited some places. But they are still thinking, “What place in Beijing can’t we miss?”

S: The Palace Museum.

Step 2 Before-listening

Watch some pictures .

Show the picture of the Palace Museum. Do you want to know more about the Palace Museum? Let’s read an introduction quickly.

Step 3 while Listening

1. Read and complete.

T: There will be a treasure show in the Palace Museum. Here is a poster of the show. Read the poster and complete part of the table on Page 37.

2. Listen and complete.

T: Listen to the guide’s introduction and find out the things to see at the show.

Tips: (1) Get different information each time. For example, find out the things to see first and the time second.

(2) Pay attention to key words.

(3) Write the first letter of the word if time is limited.

T: Listen to the introduction again and find out the time to complete the rest of the table.

3. Correct the mistakes in Part A4.

Step 4 After-listening

Complete Neil’s diary.
