Step 1 Lead--in
1. Greetings
2. Free talk
Get the Ss to talk about the following question: What do you often do when you are free? Why?
Step 2 Presentation
Introduce the Palace Museum.
Read Part A and answer the question:
What can you see in the museum?
Complete part of the table in Part A.
Step 3 Listening
Play the tape twice for the students to finish the rest of the blanks in Part A1, and then check the answers.
Play the tape again to finish Part A4, and then check the answers.
Step 4 Presentation
Tell the Ss that Simon and Neil are planning to visit Beihai Park. Listen to their dialogue and find out:
(1)When and where will they meet?
(2)What can they do in the park?
(3)How far is the park from Neil’s hotel?
