Step 1 Revision &Dictation
Take a dictation about important words.
Review what we learned in last lesson.
3) Free talk:
T: What does the sign mean? S: It means it is a bridge.
T: What about this? S: It means it is a street.
T: Does the man walk straight on? S: No, he doesn't.
T: Are there traffic lights? S: Yes, there are.
Is there a zebra crossing? S: Yes, there is.
(Write down : cross the bridge, the traffic lights, turn right, the first/second turning )
Step2 Presentation
1) Show pictures on Page 49
T: Here we have some simple instructions. Let’s listen to the tape and tick the correct boxes.
2 ) Listen and read after the tape.
3 ) 1a: Cross the bridge and turn left. 1b: Cross the bridge and turn right.
2a: Take the first turning on the left. 2b: Take the second turning on the right.
3a: Cross the road. 3b: Cross the road at the zebra crossing.
4a: Walk past the police station. 4b: Walk to the police station.
Step3 Practice
1. Show Ss the pictures.
2. The students are going on a treasure hunt. Simon and Daniel are in the same group. They have a map. Let’s read the map on Page 50 together. What can you see in the map?
3. Ask them to guess where the treasure is. Write down their answers.
4. Read the sentences again, and make them understand them.
5. Listen to the tape and finish the exercises on P49.
Step4 Practice
1. Ask Ss to look at the map on P50, and draw the route.
2. Listen again and check the route.
