Step 1 Lead-in

Step 2 Speak up

Teach some new words and phrases by creating the situation.

Listen to the conversation of Part B, answer some questions.

Check the answers and drill the expressions.

Step 3 Pre-Listening

Ask students to read the poster, teach the names of the palace:

Introduce some information about the Palace Museum, teach new words and phrases.

Read the poster again, ask students to try to complete the table.

Let students guess what the missing words are before listening.

Revise the expressions of time.

Step 4 While-Listening

Listen and complete the table.

First time: listen and fill in “Things to see”

Second time: listen and fill in “Time”

Drill: cut the listening materials into small pieces

Step 5 Post-listening

Do Part A4, check the answers.

Ask students to be a tour guide: Introducing the tour in Palace Museum according to the key words.

Step 6 Homework

Finish exercises.
