初二学生对保护环境有了一定的意识,但对瑞士这个国家还不是很了解,所以我先从标题入手,通过一个‘绿’字鼓励学生畅所欲言,再让学生谈论how to live a green life这一话题,在对保护环境有了进一步认识的基础上从而渗透瑞士这一国家的环保意识和环保行为,最后达到倡导学生爱护环境的目的。

教学重点

1.To get the main idea of the text and learn about the actions about how to protect the environment in Switzerland

2.To learn to achieve and analyse information from the reading materials by using question chains.

Step1 Lead-in

Task1: Have a free talk

From the title,what can you think of?

(设计意图:通过单元标题引入问题,让学生形成头脑风暴,并帮助学生理解green不仅指自然环境中的绿色,也指人们的绿色生活方式。)

Task2: Make a dialogue

A: What should we do to live a green life?

B: I think we can…

C: And we should…

(设计意图:承接上一环节中的lifestyle的析出,以对话的形式回顾并复习Welcome to the unit中的第一部分内容,进一步强化green 的环保内涵。)

Step2 Pre-reading

Task1: Show students a picture and sentences to present the new words.

Water is an important resource. We depend on it to live , so we can call the police to fine or punish the business because the water pollution should be limited.

(设计意图:教师通过图片形象直观地与学生探讨how to live a green life这一话题并把文中新的单词、词组编写成句向学生展现,带领学生朗读,使学生在一定的情境中学习词汇。)

Task2:Show students more pictures about Switzerland and predict what Martina will tell us in her article.

Task3: Read her article and answer three questions.
