To enable the students to communicate about a holiday plan for a trip with partners with simple conversation;

Emotions:

To cultivate the students to love the nature and their motherland by learning and remember some famous places of interest abroad, especially in Suzhou.

To cultivate students to love travelling , especially during the holiday

教学重难点:

Learn and identify the places of interest at home and abroad, especially in Suzhou;

Learn how to discuss which foreign countries they would like to go and reasons.

Enjoy ourselves—the reflexsive pronouns.

设计思路、理念:

从刚度过的中秋节小长假作为切入口,引导孩子们分享自己的如何度过小长假的。然后通过猜(猜Eddie怎么度过小长假的)、听、读等多种形式进行comic的教学。通过Eddie的好吃懒惰的表现,鼓励孩子们要多运动。由此引导孩子们发觉其实我们有很多方式来度过这样的节日,不仅仅是做作业、玩游戏,还有看书、运动、旅行。由此,阐述度假的另一种好的方式-------旅游。让学生分享他们想去的地方及理由,并导入一些国内外的名胜景点。随后进行男女生的四轮PK赛。一、慧眼识珠:观看视频,说出所看到的景点,并一一了解这些景点所在的城市、宽度等。二、妙语连珠:和同桌一起参照课文编一段小对话。三、耳聪目明:听三段小文章,选出正确的明信片并完成相应练习。四、别出心裁:以小组为单位,假设小组成员此时此刻正身处某一著名景点,给自己最喜爱的老师写一张明星片介绍这个景点、分享自己的感受。最后老师总结旅行的好处,鼓励孩子们Enjoy travelling,enjoy the life.

本课通过听、说、读、写四个环节,环环相扣,以多种形式激发学生们学习兴趣,巩固该课的重要知识点。

教学过程:

Step 1. Warming-up:

First, let students guess how their teacher spent the 3-day holiday. Then, get the students to share their holidays with the class.

目的:引出本课的话题-----旅行。让学生回忆自己度过假日的方式是什么。

2. Presentation:

A: To introduce the ‘Comic’ by the question ‘If you are free, what are you going to do?’ Look at the picture and guess ‘What do you think Eddie is going to do?’. Listen for the specific information

B: Go through the pictures and the conversation between Eddie and Hobo. Ask: Is Eddie really going to climb the hill? What is he going to do?

C: Read the conversation aloud after the recorder and finish the exercise.

D: Act it out: Get some pairs of students to read it out first, then act it out in roles before the class.

目的:comic的内容在于激发孩子们学习该课的兴趣,通过表演对话的形式,让学生对该单元的学习有浓厚的兴趣。另外, 让学生发现Eddie是通过吃来度过自己的周末,这样可以引导孩子学生们思考度过假日的健康的方式有哪些,从而呼应上一环节的内容——旅行。

3. Introduction:

A: Ask students a question: If you have enough time, where do you want to go?

B: Prensent some pictures with the drawing of the White House in the Washington D.C. the USA, the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine in Paris, France, the Opera House and the famouse Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia and so on. And help the students to learn something about the these famous places of interest by asking: Do you know the name of this famous building?

目的:之前环节已经引申出旅游这一话题,那么接下来需要学生思考的是:如果有足够的时间,会选择去哪里旅行,从而切入本课的重要内容:各大旅游名胜的介绍。激发他们对这些旅游名胜的兴趣。

4. Test1: Good eyesight:

A: Watch a video and tell everyone which places of interest you can see from the video.

B: Know some information about these places of interest in detail, such as its location, its width, its length, its looks and so on.

C: Match each building with its city and country.
