Teaching Steps:
Step1.?Lead－in
Have a free talk with Ss to lead in the topic.
Step 2.Presentation
1. Present Ss with some pictures of some places of interest .
2. Get Ss to look at the pictures and l earn some new words and phrases.
3. Get Ss to read and remember the above words and phrases.
4. Get Ss to do some exercises to revise the above places of interest.
Step 3.Match the pictures with the postcards
1. Get Ss to look through the postcards and match them with the correct pictures.
2. Check the answers as a whole class.
3. Present Ss with some questions , then get Ss to read the postcards again and answer them.
4. Get Ss to read the postcards silently and find out some useful expressions from the postcards, then read and remember them by heart.
Step 4.Presentation
1. Present Ss with the topic of Part B .
2. Play the tape and get Ss to listen and answer some questions.
3. Play the tape again and get Ss to listen again and repeat after it.
4. Make some emphasizes on some language points and get Ss to make their own dialogues.
Step 5.Comic strip
1. Present Ss with the topic of Comic strip
2. Play the tape and get Ss to listen to the conversation between Hobo and Eddie and answer some questions.
3. Play the tape again and get Ss to listen again and repeat after it.
4. Make some emphasizes on some language points .
5. Get Ss to read the Comic strip again and act it out in pairs.?
Step 6.Exercises
Get Ss to do some more exercises to consolidate what they have learnt today.
Step 7.Make a summary and arrange homework
1 .Remember the new words and useful expressions by heart and copy them twice.
2. Finish off the exercises on the workbook.
