1. Lead in

To create an active atmosphere and a close relationship with students, I dance to the music first and invite students to dance with me. It’s a good activity which livens up the class at the very beginning.

2. Presentation

To help students learn new words effectively, I will show pictures one by one while asking them to read after me. And it turns out to be a vivid and direct way because they can finish 1a very quickly.

3. Drills

1) Students will learn “Can you…?” by repeating the sentences and answering my questions.

2) Students will practice the key sentence in pairs.

3) To practice the third person singular with “can”, we play a guessing game “I do you guess”, requiring students to use “Can he/she” to ask questions. But when playing the game, some students don’t do the actions one step by one step so that it becomes easy for students to make a guess.

4. Presentation

In order to move on to learning clubs naturally, I will show a short animation about clubs at our school. Then I’ll present o club by one club to teach new words. They learn some of the clubs by listening to computer voice, which is an excellent method.

5. Drills

1) To teach another key sentence, I ask students to repeat and answer my questions.

2) Students practice in groups of four to enhance the use of key sentences.

3) Help students put the third person singular into “What club…”, I design the game: Stand up and shout it out. Finally, it is useful.

4) Do exercise on the book and check the answers.

6. Consolidation

In order to consolidate what they have learned in the class, students can use the language in team work to recruit club members and do exercise.

Ⅴ. Homework

Make a conversation talking about joining different clubs with classmates.
