Step 1 Warm-up
Talent Show
The girl can play the guitar. So can you play the guitar? 引入主题,并引导学生进行简单的回答。
T:Can you play the guitar?
S:Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
T: It doesn’t matter.Today we are going to learn the Unit1 Can you play the guitar?
Step 2 Presentation
First,show pictures of different talents.Different people have different abilities. For example: sing, dance, draw, play chess, speak English...
Then use these abilities to make a conversation.
A: Can you ...?
B:Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
A:Can he/she ...?
C:Yes, I can./No, I can’t.
Step 3 Listening
Finish 1a Match the words with the people in the picture.
Finish 1b listen and fill in the blanks in the picture above. Listen and number the conversations.
Listen again and finish the following questions above. The questions are on the guiding papers.
Listen and repeat.
Then all the students read together.
Step4 Pair work
Practice the conversations with your partners .

Step5 Group-work
