(四)、教学重、难点

(1)掌握家庭成员相关的词汇,如:father, mother, grandmother, uncle…

(2) 复数指示代词these和those, 家庭成员的复数形式及它们在句中的运用。

(五)、教学过程

1.Warming-up and revision

(1)Play the name game.

T: What’s your name?

S: My name’s…

T: What’s your family name?

S: My family name’s…

2.Presention family members

(1) Sing a song (Look at My Family Photo) and tell family members in the song

T: Who are in this song?

S: Mother/ father/ sister…

(2) Complete the family tree

(3) Learn words of family members ( father, mother,…)and their pronunciations

(4)Have a competition: use letters to make words.

3. Introduce Robin’s family ( to present sentence pattern “ This / That is…” “ These/ Those are…” and practice the words of family members)

(1) Play the video “Robin’s family” to introduce his family members.

T: Who’s this/ that?

S:This/That is his mother/father/grandmother…

T: What’s his/her name?

S: His/ Her name’s Cliff/ Alice…

(2) Play the game “ Who’s this/that?”

S1: Who’s this/that?

S2: This/That is his mother/father/sister…
