《Grammar》优质课教案下载

The teacher divides Ss into six groups. Then she shows six pictures and asks one student of each group to choose a picture and reviews words and phrases under them. T writes down the grades of each group on the blackboard.

T invites Ss to say some great scientists in the world that they have known so far. After that, T shows seven great scientists. Ss answer who they are and what they invent or discover.

A student comes to the front, look at the picture of Yuan Longping and introduces him to other students.

Ss listen to the video and review the reading. Also, Ss answer T’s questions.

Finally, T tells Ss to watch several sentences in reading and finds out some rules.

T leads to grammar of the passive voice in this module.

Step 2

Activity 1

Draw the structures maps of the passive voice.

Ss find out some rules of sentences in the text. The rule is “be +p.p”.

T invites Ss to say out the structure of the active voice and asks Ss to see its passive structure. Ss will find the differences between them.

T lists six sentences and one student of each group changes them into the passive voice.

Ss share and explain the structure maps in class by sticking their structure maps on the blackboard.

Step 3

Activity 2

Complete a structure chart of the whole passive voice of all the tenses.

T asks each student to work out his /her own structure chart with the key information from the sentences based on the ones proposed by different groups. Then, T invites three Ss to come to the front to draw their structure maps on the blackboard and the other Ss on their worksheets. (IW)

Ss share their structure maps in groups and compare them with the ones on the blackboard. (GW)

T asks Ss to explain the chart on the blackboard and add some necessary information if anything is missing.

The teacher asks Ss to translate Chinese into English using the passive voice.
