Step One: Warming up and lead-in

Say: Before we study the new lesson, let’s do a word game. Please find the word which is different from the others in each group. Ask: why in the last group fried rice is different? You are right, because it is Chinese food and the others are foreign food. And today we are going to learn something about foreign food. Speaking of Food, what words can you think of? ( Brainstorm to activate the words they have. )

Step Two: Brainstorm

Ask the students to speak out as many words as they can which are related to food. And then show them some pictures of Chinese food and foreign food.
