One student introduce a famous disabled man and play a wideo, which is a goo d way to attract students’ interest and lead in the topic: disability.

1. Learn about disabilities and life of the disabled.

2. Use different reading skills for different reading tasks.

3. Understand more about how challenging life can be for the disabled.

Let students read the learning aims together and teacher emphasize the ley words.

3. warming up and pre-reading

Questons: who can name some famous people with disability?

What do they have in common?

Let students get involved in the activity, and get to know some qualities in this disabled people.

● read the reading tips first

● read the passage and get the main idea of each paragraph in 3 minutes.

● read the passage again to get the detailed information about biography in 7 minutes.

● solve problems and find out the reasons for each task.
