2.Emotional or moral objects

As we all know, vocabulary plays an important role in our English learning,especially in the last year of high school. Through this lesson, students can summarize some effective ways to master more related words. Students can find out that vocabulary revision is not so difficulty as they think, which can improve their interest in reviewing English.

Important points and difficult points

These words given have different meanings and word formations. Students need to guess their meanings and word formations indifferent contexts in order to use them correctly. In the last part of this lesson, Students need to write a passage according to the given composition by using words and phrases above. Writing is the most difflculit part in this lesson in that it requires students to output what they have learned.

Teaching procedures:

Students listen to a tape, one paragraph of a famous essay Youth. While listening to te tape, students needs to fill in some blanks. The words that they write down are those they are going to review.

Students need to guess which word it is according to the picture and the English explanation given. Students need to find out it from the words that they have written down. That is the word of “state”. Students will learn more about the word “state”by doing more exercise. Students need to give more examples like state-statement.

Students will leamn the usage of " matter". Some sentences are given to students and they need to translate them into Chinese and English.

Students need to guess which word it is according to the picture and the English explanation given. The word is “imagination". Students need to fill in the blanks by using the according to the Chinese version. More related words are given. Students need to do some exercise to master the useage of imagination.
