《Using LanguageⅠ》集体备课教案优质课下载

This part includes reading, speaking, listening and writing, which aims to help students master the language knowledge and skills. In the meantime, encourage students to apply those knowledge and skills to the practice.

The passage depicts a Greek mythological hero, Theseus. He was the son of king of?Athens. When Theseus reached manhood, his mother sent him to Athens. On the journey he had to overcome the powers of evil such as robbers, bullies, jealous rivals, etc. He is constantly faced with problems to solve and he usually has to do this with a combination of strength and cleverness. Theseus is particularly known for his cleverness in solving problems.

The theme, heroism, is vividly depicted in this passage: Regardless of the nobility of the hero's birth, he will go through numerous difficulties and tough times before achieving success.

Analysis of the students

The target students are the second year students from NO. 1 High Middle School in Tang County. They have some insight into the Greek mythology after the previous learning. Besides, before the class, they are required to collect some information about Theseus. So they have some knowledge about the topic. What’s more, having learned the new senior English for 2 years, the students are able to complete some basic language tasks.

In this class, I arranged a variety of activities to let all the students join the class to make them confident to learn English and speak English.
