Some chalks , a tape recorder, some pictures.

VI. Teaching procedures:

Step1 Greet the students as usual

Step2 New words

Show some pictures to students and let students describe their looks by words.

Then write the new words on the blackboard . Teach students these words and give them three

minutes to remember these words.

Step3 1a

Ask Ss to finish 1a and then check the answers. Ask students to read the words together.

Step4 1b

Read the title to the students and ask students to listen to the tape recorder , fill in the blanks.

Ask a student to check the answers. The teacher lead the students to read the sentences. Then explain the important points to students. He’s ……, He has …….

Step5 Pairwork 1c

Ask students to describe a student in our class then the others guess who he\she is.

Then ask students to make conversations with their partners to describe several people they are interested in. Ask several pairs to show their conversations.

Step6 Summary

Today we have learnt the words and sentences of describing other people. Maybe we can describe our new friends to others.
