(3)情感目标:通过谈论将来打算做什么以及准备怎样实现目标,让学生考虑自己的将来,及早为将来做好准备。培养学生学习英语的强烈兴趣,乐于参加各种活动的积极情感,培养学生团结协作精神。

教学重点:

The words :computer programmer, computer science, engineer, pilot, professional

The sentences:What are you going to be when you grow up?I’m going to be an engineer.How are you going to do that?I’m going to study math hard.

教学难点:一般将来时态。be going to do sth.

(5.)教具:多媒体。

三.教学过程:

Step1 Revision

1.Revise the words about jobs by playing a guessing game.

Step2 Presentation

1Teach new words and expressions by showing the pictures.

Ask the students “What is she /he?” Which job do you think is the most interesting? to practice these words.

2.Present.

The teacher says: What are you going to be when you grow up?

The students say their dream jobs.

3Present:If you want to be a /an ... how are you going to do that?

The students can answer the questions according to the real situations

Step 3 Make a conversation

What are you going to be when you grow up?I am going to ...

How are you going to do that? I am going to ....

Students can make a new conversation then show it to others.

Step 4 Listening

Listen and match the items in 1b to practice the drills/

Step 5 Practice

Do some practice about the knowledge in this class.

Step 7 Writing

Give students some time to write down their dreams then show it to the other students.

Step 6 Summary.

In this class we have learnt how to use“be going to”to describe future plans and some new words.
