Learn the new words and sentences. (语篇教学)

出示PPT家庭照片，介绍家庭成员。导出新单词old（讲解，教授，拼读强调）用old引出young(教授).对比图片老师试着问：Is he old\young? 引出Yes，he is.\ No, he isn’t. (初步感知新句型，为学习新句型做好准备。)

介绍其他家庭成员，导出其他单词 young, beautiful ,thin ,clever (教授，拼读并板书)

看图试着回答问题。 （采用做题的方式，可以培养学生的自主学习能力）

Let’s chant. ( 出示PPT，用chant这种轻松的方式让学生更容易掌握所学新知。)

Learn the text.

教师出示问题：（1）Where is Helen from?

（2）Is she beautiful?

听录音，引导学生试着回答问题。（整体感知课文）

操练课文。

Read the text after the tape.

Read in groups.

Boys read and girls read.

Act the dialogue.

Let students discuss it in the groups and fill in the blanks . ( 灵活掌握所学知识，学以致用)

Step 3.Practise

师指，生读单词。

看图回答问题。

Step 4 Consolidation and Summary

Give the students some time and make the new dialogues to act them out. And let students say what we learnt. （通过拓展练习，培养学生对英语的实际应用能力）

Step5.Homework

1． Cope the new words five times.

2. Make the new dialogues use “Is she/he…? ”

“Yes, she /he is ./No, she/he isn’t.”
