二、学情分析

小学四年级的学生和低年级学生相比具有比较强的自行探究的能力,学生在观察能力、思维能力、语言表达能力方面都有了较好的提高,有着强烈的好奇心与动手操作的能力。他们喜欢在自己的探索中获取知识,喜欢在玩中学,喜欢在做中学,喜欢在想中学,喜欢在用中学。四年级的同学对英语学习的主动性都比较高,课堂参与度高,喜欢英语活动、游戏和表演。?

三、重点难点

重点:掌握What are they? They are ...句型。

难点:掌握动物名词的复数形式。

四、教学过程

活动1【导入】Step I.Preparation:

1. Greetings

T: Good morning/afternoon, boys and girls.

Ss: Good morning/afternoon, Miss Ye.

Sing a song?“Old Macdonald Had a Farm.”

T: Do you like animals? Ss: Yes.

T: What animals do you like? Ss: I like... .

(设计意图:让学生边唱边跳,使学生在玩中快乐地进入学习英语的良好状态,既达到一个课前热身的效果,又能将学生的注意力集中到课堂教学中来。)

活动2【讲授】Step II.Presentation:

The teacher shows the first picture and ask:?“What’s this?”?

S:“It’s?a cow.”?

And then shows the second picture and ask “What are they ?”?To lead the?sentence?“They are cows.”

(设计意图:通过声音和图片加快孩子们的理解过程。让学生们在老师的指引下层层深入的进入了新知识的教授,帮助学生记忆,也易于接受。)

2. Spell and write the new word ?“cows”.

3. Using the same method to teach the new words: geese, ducks, sheep. And then practice and write the sentences “What are they ? They are …”?

(设计意图:运用多种形式的操练句型,让学生真正学会句型,学以致用。)

4. Play a game “Magic eyes”: Look at the picture carefully and say the word quickly.

T: Look.This is a farm.What are they?

T: Today we’ll go to a farm with our old friends.

(设计意图:改变枯燥、乏味的练习方式,通过游戏来渲染气氛,使学生以高度的热情、良好的姿态巩固所学知识。)

5. To show the picture and ask the question “What are they ?Are they ducks or geese?”

6. Listen and answer.?Listen to the tape recorder and answer the question.“They are geese.”

7.Listen to the tape recorder and follow to read the dialogue.
