Use the expressions of describing object’s shape、size and usage: What shape is it?

Grasp the usage of past tense forms of the Be verbs with General Question.

Use the expressions of inqurying portraying appearances correctly: What does she look like?

Using pictures ia a good way for students to understand the meaning of word; putting new expressions into practice is useful for learning.

Step 1: Greet students as uaual and let students get ready for the class.

Step 2: lead in. Do some revisions last time what we learned. T: what shape is it?

Step3: Presentation. (1) Let students read 1a and answer the questions. (2) Read 1a again and complete the table. Then check the answers in pairs. (3)Read1a for third time and make up new conversation, then choose some pairs to show. (4) Do 2a. Point out the first group of picture in 2a and ask students some questions. Show the next picure and let students in pairs. Choose some pairs to act it out.

Step 4: Consolidation. Do 2b. Show the picture and ask students the question. Then teach new words and let students say out the words quickly.

Step 5: Practice. (1) Do 3. Take out a pencil-box. Ask and answer the questions. Show the pictures of an MP4 and let students make dialogs in groups.

Steps 6: Conclusion. Make a short summary about this time what we have learned orally.

Step 7: Homework. For today’s homework. First, memorize new words. Second, read and recite 1a. Third, make up a new conversation according to 2b. Fourth, preview Section D.
