Enjoy a song Happy Birthday, then ask and answer:

1.What did they do in the song ?

2. Did they enjoy themselves at the party?

Stage 2(2mins):Brain-storm

How do people celebrate their friends’ birthday parties ?

Stage 3(10mins):Pre-reading

Step one: Now let’s see what do people often do before and at the birthday party to learn new words and phrases according to the pictures.

Step two: (Prediction)Look at the pictures and guess what the passage is about.

Step three: (Listening)Then listen to the tape and check. Write the title on the line.

Stage4(10mins): While-reading
