2.Read the conversations and try to recite it.

Step2:Learn the part1: Look, listen and say (Pay attention to the intonation).

1.Find the West Lake in the map of China.

2.Then listen the tape and following it.

3.Read the sentence and practice.

4.Ask and answer.

1> —Where’s +地点？ …在哪里？问地点的句型。

—It’s+方位短语。

2>方位短语：in the east in the west in the south in the north

3.Practise.根据地图反复练习，Where’s …？It’s …？ Step 3. Learn the part 2: Listen and read. (Intonation)

1. Look at the pictures and try to describe them.

2. Listen and read the conversations after the tape.

3. Read the conversations and try to understand the meanings.

4. Listen and say the conversations.（播放课文录音）

5. Read the conversations together and the students practice it. 6. Ask and answer.

T: Where is the San Francisco? S: It’s in the west.

7. 重点讲解。 eg：What a clever cat！

Step 4 : Learn the part 3 : Look and write. Then ask and answer.(p6)

1. Listen to the tape

2. Then fill in the blanks.

3. Students do some other conversation practice.

Step5.Learn the part 4 and part 5 :Listen and say.(Intonation) 1.Listen to thesentences.

2.Read conversations and understand the meanings about the sentences;

3.Listen again and repeat.

Step6.Game: guess and say. Guess the location of some Chinese cities.(p7)

1.The teacher have the students read the dialogue and understand the rules about the game.

2.The teacher ask a student to come to the front of the classroom . the teacher show a picture to the student. Then the others guess the location of some Chinese cities ( eg. It’s in our town?…….)

3.Work in pairs ,have two students make a new dialogue.
