II.学情分析:
六年级学生在听说读写上有一定的英语基础,对英语学习有持续的兴趣,对外国的节日有初步的了解,能够跟随老师的的思路进行有效的英语学习,能够很快的融入课堂进行有效的英语学习和小组交流。
III.教学重点难点：
重点: 1.基本能听懂、会读festival, special, meal, sound。
2. 能理解和认读句子“We always have a special meal.” “We say‘ thank-you’ for your food, family and friends.”
难点: 运用本课所学句子描述相关的节日的主要活动。

2.Listen to a song: Christmas.
Step 2 Lead –in
1. Look and describe
Teacher asks the students questions:
T:“Look at the pictures, What is this festival??”
Ss: “Christmas Day!”
T:“What do you do at Christmas?”
We give presents and we sing songs.
Step3. Presentation
Christmas is one of Americans, Can you tell me something about American festivals?
Look at the flash about American festivals, read these festivals.The teacher say: Thanksgiving is my favourite festival.What is your favourite festival?
S1:Father’s Day is my favourite festival...
