Step I Warm-up

1.Greetings.

2. T plays the guitar and sing an English song 'What can you do?

Step II Presentation

1.Lead-in

T :I will hold a Christmas party next week. All of you will be my VIP guests. What can you do for the party?(smart notebook)

Ss: I can...

T shows a program table and sets the task.

2.Teach the new word “dance”.

T shows 2 kinds of dance and invites Ss to dance.

3.Teach the new phrase “sing English songs”.

T shows a picture of 'I am a singer' stage and let Ss guess what they can do on the stage.

T offers 2 English songs and invite one student to sing ABC song, then T plays the guitar and asks Ss to sing ‘Happy birthday to you’ together.

4.Teach the new phrase “play the pipa”.

T: You can sing and dance ,can you play some instruments?

Smart Notebook shows some instruments and let Ss guess.

Ss listen to a sound of pipa, and T teaches the new phrase.T shows some phrases about play + the +乐器 and play +球类/棋牌类and helps Ss to sum up.

5.Teach the new phrase“ do kung fu”.

Present Wu Jing’s picture and ask him, ‘Wu Jing, Wu Jing, what can you do?’

Shows a riddle and let Ss to guess who he is. Ss watch a video of Kung fu Panda.

6.Teach the last phrase“draw cartoons”.

Present cartoon roles and bring in the new phrase.

Let some student draw a cartoon cat.

7.Listen to the tape and read after the tape.
