课前播放骑士图片，骑士精神视频，渲染气氛，了解骑士精神。
Step1. Let’s spell!
直拼i-e,igh,y,i,ie发长元音/a?/，kn，wr，n，r 的发音（kn和wr为二合辅音，在这两个组合中，k和w不发音）的单词三组，通过直拼法，初步接触本课的新单词，可以直接读出新单词。
Step2. Lead in
出示骑士图片及单词knight, 让学生根据直拼法读出单词，并学习。
What can the knight do? 学生讨论，并学习： ride & fight
T: They can ride horses well and fight with the enemies.
What do they look like? 学生自由回答，并学习：strong, cool, brave
出示主人公Nasim， 让学生通过读图对比。
How is he? Is he strong? 引出 The Wrong Kind of Knight,通过第一次对比突出wrong的概念。
Step3. Reading
出示封面
T：Today, we’ll read a story about “The Wrong Kind of Knight”.
Read the title and the writer’s name
Do you have any questions about him?引导学生对人物自由提问，板书呈现问题：

What can he do?
What does he like?
……
Read and find.自读P1-P3，找出所提问题的答案，想想Nasim是怎么样的一个人，并完成Nasim的名片卡，再次突出wrong Kind of Knight的概念。
Watch and think.P4-P9
T: One day, the king came to Nasim’s home. What happened?观看卡通片段。
Learn: dragon
