Step1. Warming-up:

学生观察教材第71页的卡通图,通过回答以下问题,了解卡通图的含义和单元话题。

What is energy?( It gives power to make people or things work.)

Where does the boy’s energy come from?( It comes from food.)

What about the robot?(Its energy comes from electricity.)

Step2. Let’s have a brainstorming about electricity all around.

Step3.Pre-reading

Before you read:

教师呈现What do you know about...?部分的三幅图片,并告诉学生There are different ways of producing electricity.。要求学生将图片相应的文字进行配对。学生在教师的指导下观察主阅读的标题以及两幅图片,完成Before you read部分的练习。

Look at the photos and the title of the story on page73. Then answer the questions below.

Step4 While-reading
