Teaching Progress:

Step 1: Organization

Greeting and Warming up “Are you sleeping”(singing a English song) 2 min

Step 2: Reviewing and Checking 5min

First. Do some actions and take out some word cards which we’ve learned the words. on them last class. Ask students to use the sentences “Are you …?”.

Step 3: Introducing New Class 3min

First. Listen to the multimedia and have a guess “What’s that strange noise?” and lead the topic “What are you doing?” today.

Second. Listen to the multimedia “Part 1”. Ask students to repeat this Part and practice “Are you dancing?” “I’m swimming.”

Third. Read the Part 1 together. Then divide all into boys and girls, and read it again.

Fourth. Listen to the Part 2, then tell a story to the class. Ask students read the passage together after the multimedia twice. 10min

Fifth. Listen and say. Play a guessing game with the whole class. Ask students to do some actions, the others ask him/her “Are you …?” “No, I’m not.” “What are you doing?” “I’m ….”

Step 4: Drills

Read the Part 1/ Part 2/ Part 3 of Module 4 Unit 1 together.

Step 5: Summary 2min

Today we have learned two important sentences “Are you…?” and “What are you doing?” Can you speak them together?
