V. Teaching procedures

Step 1 Pre-reading

1. Warm up:

(1)The teacher uses the dress that she wears to lead to our new lesson”Many things can affect our feelings”Section C. Angel will give us a speech. In her speech some things affect her friend’s feelings and it can make students remind of what they learned in Section B.

(2)Review: When do you feel nevous/upset/angry/…?

2. Learn new words and phrases:

“How do you feel at the pictures? ” We use some pictures to learn some new words (environment, noise, loud, especially, trouble, fill) and some phrases ( have trouble (in) doing , fill with=be filled with=be full of, be crowded with )

Step 2 While-reading

(1)Scan the text for the first time to find out what things affect their feelings.

(2)Read the text for the second time to answer five questions.

(3)Read the text for the third time to complete the table.

Step 3 Post-reading

(1)Try to retell the passage according to the table.

(2)Groupwork :What other things can affect your feelings? How do they affect you? Discuss with the students in your group and write down at least five things.
