Stage 1 (3mins):Getting students ready for learning

Greet the students and get them ready for learning. Sing the song

T: Good morning, everyone!

T: Let’s start this lesson with an English song

T: What a beautiful song it is!

Remark:这一环节的目的是要创造学习英语的氛围并使学生静下心来,开始新的学习。可以采用多种方式,如唱歌、游戏、值日报告、自由讨论等。

Stage 2(5mins):Revision

Ask the students to act out the conversations about dinning out.

T: Boys and girls, before the new lesson, let’s review what we learned yesterday. Please work in groups and make conversations about dinning out.

T: I’d like some groups to act out your conversations. Who would like to have a try?

T: G1 did a good job. Especially their intonation and liaison. Clap for them!

Remark:重视交际用语的语音语调、连读及感情的运用。

Stage 3(10mins):Pre – listening

Learn the new words(PPT). Wine,bean,tofu,sausage,carrot

Finish 1c.

T: What are your favorite food and drinks? Now interview your partners about this question and complete the word map of 1c. The menu on Page73 may help you.

T: Now go through the form of 1b. And pay more attention to the important information you should catch while listening

Lead to 1a.

T: Everybody likes delicious food. So I think the food festival is a good chance to taste delicious food. If you want to go to the festival, but you have no time, what will you do? (Ss: We can order a meal by phone.)
