Class opening and review
Greeting：How are you ?
How is the weather today?
Review ：
Last unit ,we learnt Danny , Jenny , Li Ming and Mrs. Li are going to Beijing, they are on the train. What do they do on the train? What do you know about Beijng? (have the students try to see the Palace Museum/ the Great Wall / Tian’anmen Square and so on )
New concept
This unit we will see that they will arrive in Beijing. First they will arrive at the train station. Show the students a picture of Beijing Train Station. Have the students repeat it several times.
Ask the students , after they get off the train , they arrive in Beijing , what will they see? (the students will say :They see many cars and buses, they see many people.) the teacher try to explain “people”
T: Ask one boy to stand up , tell the students :this is a boy, ask some other boys to stand up and try to say :They are boys . then tell the students, boys are people. (say “girls” to the students in the same way.)
Then show the students a picture about a child,
.T: What can you see in the picture?
S: A child.
T: What is the child doing?
S: The child is playing.
T: Now, What can you see in the picture?
S: Two children.
T: What are the children doing?
S: The children are playing.
Have the students try to practice. Then show the students man and men , woman and women in the same way.
[设计思路：从上一环节的总结中引出今天新授的三个单词children women men，这三个单词并没有规律变化，出示图片，并把单词引入句型中。]
三，practice
Show the students some pictures about some people ,have the students ask and answer in pairs.
Who are they ?
What are they doing?
Ask the students , on their way to the hotel, what do they see? Show the students some pictures , and try to say : I see some old women , they are dancing.
四． Play the tape , have the students listen to the tape and try to answer some questions.
1.When do they arrive in Beijng?
2.What do they see on their way to the hotel?
After listening to the tape , have the students answer the questions.(check the answers)
Have the students try to use: what do you see? What is/ are____doing ? to practice the pictures of this lesson.
