In Unit 2, Li Ming, his mother, Jenny and Danny see Tian’anmen Square and the Palace Museum, and they go shopping at Wangfujing. In this unit, we will review words to describe actions and people, and adds new describing words and new action words to students’ vocabulary. This lesson includes two parts: In section 1, it deals with words men, women, children, people, many and their usage. In section 2, it tells a story about people at the train station.

三、学习者特征分析

After two and a half years of learning English, students have accumulated some knowledge of English language, can use phonics and associative memory approach to learn and memory words. Able to communicate in daily conversation with the knowledge they have learned.

四、教学目标

Knowledge objects:(1) Students will be able to aurally understand, orally use,recognize and spell the following vocabulary:

men, women, children, people, many

(2)Students will be able to recognize, understand and use the following basic sentence structures:

They are on their way to___.

There are many_____.

(3)Students will understand and master the singular and plural for: child/children, man/men, woman/women.

2. Ability objects:

(1) To develop Ss’ abilities of listening and speaking.

(2)Master the usage of men, women, children, people, many.

3. Emotion objects:

To foster Ss’ consciousness of good co-operation in groups and proper competition

Arouse their interest in learning English.

Pair work; group work; make things by students self-study (find rules and ways by themselves) learn English happily(Games, Songs) writing by themselves. 3P teaching method.
