教学重点：引导学生学会写议论性的短文，就“哪种动物最适合作为宠物饲养？”阐述自己的观点。
教学难点：通过回顾Reading部分的文章，帮助学生明确议论文的基本结构。通过阅读范文，帮助学生更好地把握短文的写作要点和结构，以读促写，层层深入。引导学生通过独立修改、互批等多种方式对作文进行评阅，并将较好的文章作为范文在班级范围内展示。
4、教学设计思路
本课主要采用“引入－写前活动－写中活动－写后活动”等几个步骤来引导学生进行各项活动。
引入部分先让学生讨论“哪种动物最适合作为宠物饲养”并展示一些常见的宠物的照片, 从而引入本节课的话题。
写前活动中，通过回顾Reading部分Emma对于养宠物狗的观点与理由以及分析本篇文章的结构，帮助学生复习议论文的结构，明确议论文的基本结构，即：提出观点、论证观点、总结观点；另一方面，通过阅读范文，帮助学生更好地把握短文的写作要点和结构，为之后的写作作准备。
写中活动分两个环节。首先，引导学生小组讨论“哪种动物最适合作为宠物饲养”并列出写作提纲。其次，结合写作提纲、选项框中的词汇和句型以及范文撰写短文。
在最后的写后活动中，让学生在小组内通过互批方式来评阅作文，并选出较好的文章作为范文在班级范围内展示，互相学习，共同进步。
