Student analysis

The students going to be taught are in Grade 7.They have already finished learning parts of this unit, which includes welcome to the unit, reading and grammar. It’s clear that the topic of this new lesson is easy for them to understand. However, asking students to grasp the listening materials about the amazing things is a little bit difficult, which indicates the necessity of designing more activities so that they can understand the listening materials in this lesson better. Multiple teaching methods and tools can be used to help students promote learning effect.

1.Pre-listening: Have a free talk. Show students the pictures of elephants and goldfish. Ask them to tell me the names of these two animals and let them try to say some fun facts about them.
